Terms of Service

1. Who we are

School Visual is a remote-first eLearning studio. We design and build custom training: interactive courses, simulations, scenario-based learning and interactive video. These terms govern your use of this website and, unless a signed agreement says otherwise, the services we provide.

By using this site or engaging us for a project, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to do so.

2. Our services

Every project starts with a written proposal describing scope, deliverables, timeline and price. Work begins once the proposal is accepted in writing and any agreed deposit is paid. Anything not listed in the proposal is out of scope and quoted separately.

3. Quotes and payment

Quotes are fixed for the scope described and valid for 30 days. Unless the proposal says otherwise, we invoice 50% on kickoff and 50% on delivery. Invoices are payable within 14 days.

If a project is paused at your request for more than 30 days, we may invoice for work completed to date and re-schedule the remainder.

4. Your content and materials

You are responsible for the accuracy of the source material, branding and data you give us, and you confirm you have the rights to share it. We treat it as confidential and use it only to deliver your project.

5. Intellectual property

On full payment, you own the final deliverables we create for you. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, templates, frameworks and know-how, and grant you a licence to use them as part of your deliverables.

Unless you ask us not to, we may show non-confidential excerpts of the work in our portfolio.

6. Revisions and acceptance

Each proposal includes a stated number of revision rounds. Deliverables are considered accepted when you confirm in writing, or 10 business days after delivery if we hear nothing, whichever comes first. Additional rounds are quoted before we start them.

7. Confidentiality

Both sides agree to keep the other's non-public information confidential and to use it only for the project. This obligation survives the end of the engagement. A separate NDA, if signed, takes precedence.

8. Liability

We deliver our work with professional skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the fees you paid for that project, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Termination

Either side may end an engagement with 14 days' written notice. You pay for work completed up to the end date, and we hand over everything you have paid for.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies, and material changes will be flagged here with a new "last updated" date. Changes do not affect projects already underway.
